bioRxiv, medRxiv and other preprint feeds by subject

Which preprint servers publish feeds, which block automated checks, and where to copy the address from, checked on 6 September 2026.

Validated

  • arXiv: official feeds per category (see the arXiv guide).
  • NBER working papers: back.nber.org/rss/new.xml, 31 items on our check.
  • F1000Research: f1000research.com/rss/latest.xml.

Changed addresses: verify on the site

  • bioRxiv and medRxiv publish feeds per subject, but the addresses under connect.biorxiv.org and connect.medrxiv.org that readers used for years answered 404 on our check, and bioRxiv rate-limited repeated requests. Copy the current feed address from the servers' own feeds pages.
  • EarthArXiv, Research Square, RePEc's NEP reports, HAL, Zenodo: feeds exist or existed; the addresses we tried did not answer. Copy the link from the page.

Blocked to automated checks

SSRN, ChemRxiv and Preprints.org answered HTTP 403. Their feeds may still work in a reader; we could not verify them.

No feed

PsyArXiv and SocArXiv on the Open Science Framework offer no RSS on their discover pages; use the OSF API or the servers' social accounts.

The full list with status is on the preprints page.

Journal data: OpenAlex (CC0) and DOAJ (CC0). Feed URLs belong to their publishers; arXiv feeds per arXiv terms of use. Nothing from the feeds is stored on this site: the latest articles load live from the publisher. OpenAlex · DOAJ · arXiv
