OPML: export a whole field of journal feeds into any reader

Every field and subfield page on this site offers an OPML file of its validated feeds. What OPML is, how to import it in the common readers, and how to build your own.

What OPML is

OPML is an XML outline format that feed readers use to exchange subscription lists. One file can hold hundreds of feeds with their names and addresses; importing it subscribes you to all of them at once.

Download one here

Open a field page or a subfield page and click Download OPML. The file lists every journal of that field whose feed validated on our last check, with the journal's homepage as the link.

Import it

Feedly: Organize sources, Import OPML.
Inoreader: Preferences, Import/Export, Import OPML.
NetNewsWire: File, Import Subscriptions.
Thunderbird: in the Feeds account, Manage Subscriptions, Import.
Vite Research: there is no OPML import yet; add the feeds you want one by one from their pages, where the address has a Copy button, or tell us you need OPML import.

Build your own

Any reader exports its subscriptions as OPML from the same menus, so a lab or a course can share one curated file. Keep it small: a list people actually read beats a complete one.
